Spring League Updates 2025
Hello RCK Parents!
We are so excited to share a few updates with you for the upcoming spring season!
1. Your players team & schedule is now up on the SportsHeadz App. You will need to download the App from the Apple or Google Play store. You then have to create an account and login to see your players schedules and teammates - these will exclusively be communicated in the app/ you will not be receiving this information via email.
To add a second parent or grandparent, you can search for your players team associated with your SportsHeadz account, and they can request to be added.
**Important** - The email address you provided on your players registration form is the email linked to the RCK league in the app. Please ensure you use this email address to log into Sportsheadz, otherwise you will not see your Team or Schedule. If an additional guardian needs access, they can request to join a team directly in the app by searching Renfrew County Kings > Team Name (team names will be found on the main guardian account).
Questions regarding downloading the app or creating an account should be directed to SportsHeadz support, as we cannot control your login information/sign in issues. Please contact them directly at questions to [email protected].
2. We cannot switch players on teams. We have all jerseys ordered in your child's specific chosen size to ensure they arrive for our opening week.
3. A reminder for those returning families (thank you!), and new families (thank you!) there are no coaches for these teams. There are 5x weeks with 10 games of fun, with parents jumping on the bench to run doors. If you see your players bench is empty please step up and open the doors if you can.
4. There will be referees, and timekeepers just as in regular league play, and they will be calling games fairly and will report back to us if unsafe play is noted. This league is for fun, with the purpose of Renfrew County families having access to organized spring hockey. Please ensure you have read the rules to your players and they know that unsafe play is not allowed and player removal from our league is at our discretion.
5. Jerseys will be distributed on the first night of your players first game. Please arrive 45 mins before game time on your first scheduled game to pick up jerseys.
6. **Important, Please Read** - Renfrew County Kings is an organization run by three hockey lovers - who are players, coaches, managers and parents - and who have sat in the stands, or have been on the bench, cheering on kids in our local associations for years. We appreciate the kindness and patience of many parents who realize that this league is run by three people who just love the game, and who are trying to make the league inclusive and accessible for Renfrew County Families. Thus, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for abuse of our staff, whether in person or via email. We all work full time and make this league happen via holidays from our jobs. Please show kindness and consideration to our team so we can continue to offer these leagues to local families.
