Renfrew County Kings : 2026 Spring League Start-Up This Week!
Hello RCK Spring League Families!
We are so excited to welcome you to our spring leagues this year!
Now that everything has been finalized, please see the below important information:
1. Sportsheadz App - As a reminder, please download if you haven't already. The account used to register will automatically receive access to their team(s). Other parents/guardians/grandparents can request access via the app to a specific team by using the search function.
2. Rosters & Schedules - these have been completed and sent via the app.Goalies - we have sent out a separate email to our goalie families with some additional information and instructions for coverage.
3. Jerseys & Pickup - similar to minor hockey, a jersey will be provided for you and you will be expected to return it at the close of the season. Your jersey can be picked up at your respective arena during your first ice time. If you cannot make your first ice time, please try to make arrangements with a team member (or otherwise - family, friend), to pick up your jersey for you. If alternate arrangements cannot be made, please contact us. **PLEASE PICK UP JERSEYS DURING YOUR FIRST ICE TIME, IN THE LOBBY OF ARNPRIOR, NICK SMITH CTR. OR THE LOBBY OF THE BEACHBURG ARENA NO EARLIER THAN 40 MINS PRIOR TO YOUR GAME.**
5. RCK Spring Hockey League Convenors are Margaret Coady in Arnprior and Richie Elliott in Beachburg. Welcome Steve Parker, a local hockey coach and hockey dad, to the RCK Team!
RCK League Structure:
All our returning players know the drill, but for all our new families: Games are run in a shiny-like format. We do have referees however we do not have coaches (U7 runs with additional pre-determined helpers in a half development/half game format). Our league values creativity and fun - our intent is that kids use this league to simply enjoy the game.
Parent volunteers are required at each game to open doors and ensure player safety - parents are not to coach teams. There is no set schedule for this, our expectation is that someone from each team simply steps up each game. Please do your best to share the responsibility with the other parents on your team.
Ice time is to be equally shared by all everyone. We expect all our players to be responsible and respectful about their shift lengths to ensure that all players receive equal ice time.
As written in our code of conduct, we have a zero tolerance policy for bullying, abuse of officials or destruction of facility space. We ask that if there are any issues that you reach out to us!
